As part of my dissertation at Istituto Marangoni for my MA programme, I selected the practical option of conducting research and creating a sustainable magazine. This was one of four photoshoots conducted that includes sustainable fashion which aims at moving away from stereotypes and emphasises achievability for consumers.
This photo shoot was conducted to demonstrate our wasteful consumption patterns and the anger created by these habits. Our consumption patterns are increasing every day from Shein hauls to thrift hauls on social media. Theoretically, it is less damaging to the environment when thrifting but the amount is the problem. The idea is to shop when needed and in fewer quantities. The apparel was styled by myself as the model owned the pieces which were purchased from thrift shops.
